The motivation behind 'Put Your Money', our latest track for our alt-rock alias, Divided We Fell, began with a desire to create another powerful anthem in a similar vein to their last song, 'Fight'.

We dabbled with various ways to introduce the song, ultimately deciding to start with a preview of the chorus. This inspired the recurring chant which became the cornerstone of the track.

Initially, the song was conceived with the imagery of a boxing match, focusing on a challenger daring his opponent to back up his words with actions. However, as we developed the lyrics, the theme naturally shifted towards a political protest song, aligning more closely with Divided We Fell's musical output.

The lyrics of 'Put Your Money' express deep frustration with political incompetence and the failures of those in power. By avoiding direct references to specific individuals or events, the song captures a universal sentiment of disillusionment with leadership.
